Liverpool lost at home to Everton yesterday and that’s no fun at all, but such is life.
What could really grate for a while is Jordan Henderson’s injury. He’s had his little issues here and there, but he’s been a consistent starter this year in a variety of positions. Losing him for an extended period would really be a kick in the teeth after a billion bad injuries this campaign.
And it looks like that’s what’s happening, according to Jürgen Klopp.
“It doesn’t look good”, the Liverpool Echo report the manager as saying.
“It’s the groin, adductor region. Nobody in the medical department was kind of positive about it.
“It doesn’t look good but we have to wait for the scan tomorrow hopefully.”
Look, this is just what happens. If you play someone at centre back, they get a horrible injury straight away, didn’t you know that? It’s time for the government to outlaw centre backs on health and safety grounds. Something has to be done.
Until then, we’ll hope for some more positive news on Henderson.
