Last night Liverpool clobbered Watford 5-0, with a hat-trick from Bobby Firmino, and another stellar display from Mohamed Salah. And the Egyptian is loving every minute of it - but recognizes that things don’t always transpire like this.
“I’m just trying. Sometimes I don’t have luck to score goals. I’m just trying every time to give 100 per cent from what I have and trying to help the team. Sometimes I have luck, sometimes not”, he said speaking to BT Sport.
“But I’m feeling confident at the moment, I feel like I’m scoring goals, helping the team to get points, which is the most important thing.”
The Reds played fluid, sharp football and their waves of attack overwhelmed Watford. The aim had been to start strong, said Salah.
“I think we didn’t want to start [like] the City game, so we were talking in the dressing room that we need to start the game well – and I think that’s what we did.”
And he has eyes on the biggest prizes.
“Hopefully we can win the league and we’re also going to go for the Champions League. It’s important for a team like Liverpool, a club like Liverpool to fight for everything.”
