It’s barely been more than two weeks since the 2019-20 season ended. It’s also now less than two weeks before Liverpool take on Arsenal in the English game’s traditional curtain-raiser, the Community Shield.

Which means the players are back in training, preparing for the 2020-21 campaign. It also means that, as of today, the club have set the dates for a pair of pre-season friendlies set to take place over the next week.

Barring any late changes—always a possibility given the short timeframe things are being arranged in—Jürgen Klopp’s players will take on Stuttgart on Saturday, August 22nd at 5PM BST, a mere three days from now.

Then they’ll face RB Salzburg on Tuesday, August 25th, at 3PM BST. The two games will take place near Saalfelden, the Austrian town on the outskirts of Salzburg where both Liverpool and Stuttgart are training.

Both will also be televised on LFCTV, and following the games the Reds will return to England for the Community Shield. Further friendlies may be arranged before the league season kicks off on September 12th.
