You’ve read enough of these meaningless rumours, but we persist. I know. Still, maybe we can have some fun along the way.
Now, just to catch anybody up, Timo Werner is a very good striker playing at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. That’s in Germany. He’s 24-years-old and has been banging in the goals for Leipzig for several seasons.
Fellow German, Jürgen Klopp, and his crack team of scouts, have identified Werner as a potential target for Liverpool but other clubs linger. One club in particular has loomed most competitively and that’s Klopp’s old rivals Bayern Munich.
Bayern usually takes what it wants from each crop of budding Bundesliga stars but it may turn out that this time Klopp’s clout has made Liverpool a more desirable destination for Timo.
A report on Wednesday from German rumour mongers Bild suggested that Werner has officially decided against a move to the German giants due to his extreme affection for all things Reds.
Our Story: Timo Werner will definitely not join Bayern this summer. @BILD_Sport He rules out a Transfer to another German club. also because of Jürgen Klopp he would like to take the step to Liverpool @LFC

Timo has made no secret of his affection for Klopp’s team and management style over the last several months. And he looks to be a perfect fit for the squad. He’s a young player, accomplished in a different league, who would be competing with world class talent for a spot in Liverpool’s front three and who has actually already signaled his willingness to do so.
Klopp has probably been looking forward to working with Timo but the next transfer window, like all of life right now, is draped in uncertainty. Werner’s release clause is set to expire in June and it’s unclear whether or not Liverpool will make a move when the future of football remains a mystery.
Honestly, I’m still just tickled that the big, up and coming talents are looking Liverpool’s way. It’s been awhile and it feels great.
