Your Transfer Rumour Is Bullshit: Willian Is Not Coming To Anfield

You may not have heard about this recently, but there’s a global pandemic about right now.

Anyway, coronavirus means no football, no football means nothing to talk about, nothing to talk about means nonsense transfer rumours. And here’s a good one. As far as I can tell, the story that Liverpool wanted to sign Chelsea winger Willian originated in Barcelona daily paper Sport. As we know, if you want accurate news about Premier League transfers, look to Catalonia. It makes an ounce of sense in that the Brazilian is out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer, and the noise has been that he isn’t happy with the offer on the table for a while.
