While the news of new injuries has been piling up, with Jordan Henderson now set to miss the upcoming Premier League game against Leicester City, fans will be pleased to see a few familiar faces on the training ground.

Thiago Alcantara who has been injured since the Merseyside derby was seen at the new Kirkby (not saying AXA, sorry) training ground. Another welcome face was that of Fabinho, who till recently had deputized at the all important back-up center-back role in Virgil Van Dijk’s absence, and had put in a few great shifts. He then picked up a hamstring injury during the Champions League game against FC Midtjylland.

In today’s press conference ahead of the Leicester game, Jurgen Klopp indicated that both players were well-positioned for a role, saying, “Hendo not, Trent not, and all the rest we will see. (Thiago/Fabinho) in a good way. All closer but we will see.”

Another welcome sight was that of Alexander Oxlade-Chamberlain on the training ground, though there is less information about his possible date of return to the lineup.

Joining Henderson on the sidelines, are Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez, while Mohamed Salah will be in isolation having still not tested negative for COVID-19.
