There was a lot of hype and buzz around Rhian Brewster coming into this season. It was stated that one of the reasons offensive support wasn’t brought in during the summer transfer window was that Brewster was ready to step into a supporting role with the senior Liverpool squad. Unfortunately, an insane run of form, coupled with some niggling injuries for the young English striker, have kept Brewster from getting minutes for Liverpool.
To aid in his search for senior team minutes, Liverpool sent the 19 year old to Swansea. It didn’t take long for the young marksman to find the back of the net. In his second start in two appearances, Brewster scored off of a well worked team goal with an emphatic left-footed finish. The 19th minute goal was reminiscent of the Liverpool squad that Brewster came from, with some slick passing to feed an intelligent run. Check out the highlight below:
After the game, seemingly the entire Liverpool team jumped on social media to congratulate the youngster. It was a wonderful display of support for Brewster, who had been training with the first team prior to his loan move to the south of Wales.

Hopefully this is just the start of a strong second half of the season for young Brewster.
