New signings are great, especially the ones that are either expensive or supposed to be expensive but turn out to be free. But once the excitement dies down, the papers are all signed, people have shaken hands and the business bit is over, players still need to know where the bathrooms are. They need to get acclimated to their new surroundings. The city, the tattoo shops and the stadium of stadiums. Mohamed Salah made his way through the halls of Anfield today, buzzing with grins and dreams of glory.
Here’s where your kit goes. Number eleven. Nice choice. And that’s where you’ll sit if you like to sit. Although, standing is fine. Players are always just milling about in here. But if you stand over there near Lovren, he gets chatty, fair warning.
Welcome to Anfield, @22mosalah!

Also, Anfield is where our CEO, Peter Moore, lives. He’s new and while he does have a very evil-CEO-chic vibe going on, by all accounts he seems to be a nice fellow.
Clicking through the gallery of images, you’ll notice it’s more of the same from previous Anfield photo-ops. The player here, the player there. The difference is that this time it’s Mohamed Salah, the first player signed by Jürgen Klopp with the specific intent of propelling this Liverpool team forward into Champions League success and to the top of the Premier League.
Other players will arrive this summer, players of a high regard, and they, too, will shake hands with Peter Moore and wonder of his sinister plans to take over the world. But Mohamed Salah is the beginning, when it was all just about to pop off. Enjoy this.
