The Liverpool skipper, Jordan Henderson, under Jürgen Klopp, has had a standout season orchestrating things in the center of the pitch. His work with Emre Can, Georginio Wijnaldum, and bff Adam Lallana has been the driving force of some of the team’s best games of the season.

In late February, Henderson was struck down with a foot injury, one that Klopp hoped the captain would recover from in time for the Merseyside derby on April 1st. Despite this injury, Henderson is one of the players who traveled to Tenerife with the team during the international break, for a bit of training and leisure.

Regarding Henderson, Klopp said, “Hendo is here with his family and kids, so that’s nice too.

“He can make the next steps here, and then hopefully we can do the next steps when we are home next week. We will see.

“Having him around is always good.”

Looks like Klopp is hoping that a bit of sun and relaxation will aid in Henderson’s recovery. Whether the manager is still targeting the game against Everton for Hendo’s return remains to be seen. Either way, so long as he doesn’t listen to any of Alberto Moreno’s activity suggestions, a week’s vacation with his family and teammates certainly won’t hurt.
