In a potentially difficult month where Liverpool need to secure big results, the attacking "fab four" of Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino will need to be at their best. Games against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be tough games, but Liverpool are also looking for a first Champions League win of the group stages. There’s also Jürgen Klopp reuniting with his brother from another in David Wagner as Huddersfield visit Anfield at the end of the month.

It may be reassuring to hear, then, that Firmino is delighted to play with his fellow attackers. The belief and confidence at they have in each other and themselves will help Liverpool display the sharpness in attack under Klopp that has been a key feature over the past two years. Firmino seems ideal for Salah and Mané in a system where goals come from wide positions. With a new contract in the works for the Brazilian

"They are giving us quite a lot of chances on goal," Firmino said. "They're very quick and we're enjoying playing with those two and the speed they give us. They're giving us a lot of chances to create goals, which is really important for the team.

"It's excellent. To play with these guys - it's very important for me and everyone. It's very good for the entire team. They are really nice lads, good people and I hope that we can help Liverpool to the absolute maximum to play well."

Firmino has come in for some criticism in terms of his goalscoring numbers, but faith will always be tested. His role is beyond that of a traditional striker, and the 26-year-old is settled at Liverpool. Unlike his high-profile compatriot at the club, it is probable that Merseyside’s finest represents a final destination of sorts with a manager that is perfect for the way Firmino plays the game.

"It's great for me [to be here]. Ever since I received the proposal to come to Liverpool, I've been happy," Firmino added after recently celebrating his 26th birthday to enter his prime years as a footballer.

"I never thought twice about coming to Liverpool. I'm very happy; it's a very good club at a very high level. I enjoy playing here and I'm pleased to have reached my 100th game."
