Liverpool are midway through a miniature training camp in the Canary Islands, with the club's non-internationals and their families spending some time in the warmth of Tenerife during the long break between Premier League matches.
"It's going really well," said Jürgen Klopp in an interview with the Liverpool Echo. "We had 13 players plus two keepers training this morning, including a lot of young players. It was a good session. All the injured players have come away with us too and it's nice to have them here. This is a really good training ground and the weather is a little bit better than in England!
"We're having a good time. This is a good place for us to work this week. We're working hard in the mornings and then in the afternoons it's time with the families. I thought it was important that the players could have their families here too. It's a good moment for everyone."
Fun times! Liverpool's next opponents are title challengers Tottenham Hotspur, and after Sunday's capitulation at St Mary's against Southampton, Klopp will be eager to have back many of his injured players if they're ready to go by April 2.
"Alberto [Moreno] is fine now," Klopp confirmed. "He trained this morning and he's looking good. Roberto [Firmino] is close. Both he and Lucas [Leiva] are in a good way and improving. But I can't say at this stage when they will be ready."
Firmino was especially missed on Sunday and his return to the starting line-up will be hotly anticipated. Until then, Klopp's greatest injury concern might just be that Alberto Moreno doesn't re-injure himself before the team's training vacation comes to an end.
