Liverpool won an emotional round of 16 bout with Manchester United, 3-1 on aggregate, and will now face Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League quarterfinals. The first leg of the round will take place on April 7, while the return leg is set for April 14.
Much like the last round against United, this matchup is dripping with narrative and entertainment value. It will be Jürgen Klopp returning to face his old side, the one he took to the peak of the German football with consecutive Bundesliga title wins. And it will be Dortmund, one of the most free flowing, dangerous attacking sides in the world coming to Anfield to put Liverpool's recent mini-resurgence to the ultimate test.
Given the available draws, getting Dortmund now was a brutal bit of luck for the Reds. But, if they somehow manage to survive the round, they'll be in pole position to go all the way. That's a tremendous if, however.
