Following Joe Gomez’ appearance against Accrington Stanley in a closed doors friendly over the weekend, Liverpool got another piece of good news on the injury front today when Sheyi Ojo returned to full training following his long layoff for a lower back fracture.

Initially, Ojo was expected to only miss a month following his injury late in pre-season, but September came and went with the talented 19-year-old winger still on the sidelines and no set return date. Recently, after three months on the sidelines, he returned to solo training.

And today, the young winger, who impressed on loan with Wolves last season before being recalled by Jürgen Klopp in the spring, took to Instagram to share a picture with teammates following his first full training session since he returned from his injury.

Following his return to Liverpool in January, Ojo made eleven first team appearances—eight in the league and three in the FA Cup—and scored a goal. Though he wasn’t expected to contend for starting minutes this season, he was expected to see regular action off the bench.
