There's a good chance that Raheem Sterling will not be a Liverpool player when the transfer window closes. He doesn't want to be at the club anymore and many fans have started to see his departure as a foregone conclusion. Manchester City have already tested Liverpool with two bids, and one figures that another offer in the range of £50 million would be enough to complete a deal.
But for now Sterling is still a Liverpool player, and with the pre-season approaching it will be interesting to see how involved he'll be in team activities. The Guardian reports that Liverpool expect him to participate in pre-season training immediately and play with the team on its pre-season tour.
However, Sterling might have other ideas on the matter and could look to further the divide between himself and the club by refusing to participate with his teammates in pre-season activities. It's unlikely that he would do something like that, but even if he's on his best behavior his next month with Liverpool will be a much talked about spectacle.
