The win over Besiktas didn't quite carry the same sense of inevitability as the win over Crystal Palace, and neither did it include the type of exciting attacking play as the victory against Spurs, but it was a win nonetheless, and that's something this Liverpool squad needs to get used to. Any means necessary if they're going to advance to a cup final or make a true charge at finishing in the top four, and over the course of the last few months, it's looked as though they're starting to get in the habit.
It appears to be happening at the right time as well, with a visit to the current fourth-place occupants tomorrow and a home date with Manchester City next weekend. Liverpool find themselves in the midst of a critical stretch and playing some of their best stuff all season, a reality that's embraced throughout the squad and highlighted by former Southampton man Adam Lallana.
And while he knows it'll be a tough trip both on and off the pitch, the playmaker is confident that his new club are in the type of form that could see them take all three points:
"We fancy ourselves in any game at the moment. When you are confident, it doesn't matter who you are playing. Earlier in the season when you're not playing so well you look at any fixture as difficult. But when you are playing well you're not worried about the opponents. You go into any game thinking ‘we can get a win here'. We are putting our stamp on games now and teams are having to change their system because of the way we play, which shows the progress we have made.
"You can't just switch confidence on and off, you kind of build it up and then it comes naturally. I think at the minute we have that in abundance. We've been going to tough places, putting in mature performances and looking really solid at the back with more clean sheets. It's nicely coming together but there is a lot more work to do."
Much like the Spurs fixture, it's a match that will tell Brendan Rodgers and his squad an awful lot about themselves, and a result here would turn discussion of a hypothetical top four challenge into a real possibility. They'll have plenty of work left to do, and plenty of time left to lose the confidence Lallana underlines here, but right now Liverpool are as good as they've been all season, and tomorrow's another chance to keep that good form going.
