Klopp Critical of Fans After Crystal Palace Defeat

People appreciate Jürgen Klopp because he comes off as genuine and says what he believes. So after Liverpool fans trickled out of Anfield before the final whistle, Klopp made his feelings perfectly clear.

"After the goal on 82 minutes, with 12 minutes to go, I saw many people leaving the stadium. I felt pretty alone at this moment," Klopp said. "We decide when it is over. Between 82 and 94 (minutes) you can make eight goals if you like."

"They have reasons [for leaving] and maybe it is easier to go out, I don't know. Don't make a big thing about this but we are responsible that nobody can leave the stadium before the final whistle because anything can happen."

After managing at the incredible Signal Iduna Park for Dortmund, Klopp is right to feel let down by an Anfield crowd that's supposed to be one of Europe's best. It's unacceptable for droves of fans to exit in a narrow match with time left, and Liverpool fans should be better than that.
