If one were to write a list of players who have shown immediate improvement under new manager Jürgen Klopp, Adam Lallana would be one of the first names on paper. True, he still needs to learn to be cool in front of goal, but his pressing and work rate have been very impressive.
That Lallana would shine under Klopp is no surprise to former Red, then former Saint, then former Red once again Rickie Lambert.
In an interview with LFCTV, Lambert said, "I think Adam will do really well under him. I think he'll give Adam a more important role within the team. Obviously it's hard to become a regular in the Liverpool team because there are so many good players, especially in his position...Klopp will get the best out of him."
Lambert, perhaps, could have elaborated a bit more on why he thinks the two-footed attacking midfielder would thrive under Klopp, but that doesn't mean he's wrong.
In his first two games out, Lallana has put in two exciting, hard-working shifts. And judging by the boss's comments, he expects Lallana to be even better once everyone is up to speed.
