Takumi Minamino and Sadio Mane both scored for their countries in the most recent round of friendlies. The Japanese attacker scored one in his country’s 4-1 win against Tajikistan. Minamino’s 40th minute goal ended up being the decisive goal in game that saw Japan score twice in the first half and then twice in the second. Mane netted the first for Senegal in their 3-1 win over Zambia on Saturday.

On the other side of the world, the European nations are gearing up to finally play their postponed 2020 European Championship tournament. Both England and Scotland played and won a final friendly before taking each other on in their shared group.

Jordan Henderson came on at halftime as a substitute in England 1-0 win over Romania. Meanwhile, captain Andy Robertson stayed on for 64 minutes for Scotland to help his team overcome Luxembourg 1-0.

Neco Williams played all 90 minutes in the goalless draw between Wales and Albania.

The final Liverpool player who saw action on Monday was Marko Grujic. Serbia played out a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Jamaica that saw Grujic get 64 minutes on the pitch.

Tuesday will see Alisson and Roberto Firmino’s Brazil battle Paraguay in the last CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier before Copa America begins. Thiago Alcantara and Spain play their final friendly against Lithuania, while Sadio Mane’s Senegal play Cape Verde Islands.
