Liverpool International Update: Mohamed Salah Bags a Brace

Egypt and the tiny Comoros Islands had both already booked a place in the African Cup of Nations finals. Comoros is the Cinderella story of the competition, winning a surprise spot in the competition for the first time. That’s why they aren’t likely to be too upset by losing 4-0 in Cairo on Monday.

Leading the team to victory, as ever, was Mohamed Salah, who scored two of Egypt’s four goals, to Comoros’ nil. And because he’s Mohamed Salah, he bagged his brace in only four minutes.

He scored his first goal in the 21st minute and the second in the 25th minute. Despite the fact that Egypt scored all of their four goals within the first 25 minutes of the game.
