Watch: Gini Wijnaldum Score a Brace for the Netherlands

The Liverpool man scored both goals in the Dutch win against Belarus.

UEFA EURO 2020 qualifier group C”Belarus v The Netherlands”

Liverpool Women got their first point of the season which is cause enough for celebration, but let’s also pay some attention to the men’s side and their antics and exploits abroad. It’s been a pretty solid weekend for Reds abroad with both the Netherlands (Gini Wijnaldum and Virgil van Dijk) and Scotland (Andy Robertson) securing victories in their Euro qualifiers, while Croatia (Dejan Lovren) managed a draw.

The Netherlands haven’t exactly been in the finest form recently—and also, who cares about international games when Liverpool are top of the league and we have so much more to live for—but they managed to secure a 2-1 victory against Belarus and ended this particular break at the top of their group for Euro qualifications. And while the match itself isn’t particularly worth the watch, Gini’s goals definitely are:

The first goal was a fabulous header, and the second one (less than ten minutes later) was an absolute stunner.

Fingers crossed that the Reds return to Anfield with zero injuries and their winning ways continue.
