This is it, everybody. This is the big one. Everything has been leading to this moment. The drama. The cheers. The tears.

That's right: Real Housewives of New Jersey returns for a seventh season tonight. Will you be watching? I certainly will.*

For those of you more inclined towards lowbrow culture, however, there's also a football/soccer match between France and Portugal to catch. It happens to be the final of the 2016 European Championships, which I gather is a Big Deal. Host nation France, who have been very impressive in their march towards this final (eliminating pre-tournament favorites Iceland along the way), are very much the picks to win against Cristiano Ronaldo & Co. Portugal failed to record a victory in the group stage, and stumbled into the knockout rounds thanks to the generosity of the expanded tournament format, but since then have shown resilience when it was most needed. They will need that resilience in the final against France, who have a sterling recent record against Portugal.

Liverpool supporters might have had a stake in the proceedings had Mamadou Sakho been included in Didier Deschamps' squad, but we all know how that turned out. Thanks, UEFA. Still, this should be a fascinating contest with some big personalities involved. It may not be as captivating as Real Housewives of New Jersey, but if Pepe starts, we might at least get to see some amateur theatrics.

*I certainly won't.
