We’re into the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, and the first game could be one of the most intriguing yet—or it could bore everyone to tears. Poland have impressed, finishing second in Group C behind Germany before edging past Switzerland on penalties, establishing their dark horse credentials. Portugal, meanwhile, have frustrated neutrals with some of the worst football at the tournament—but they won’t care, as their attempts to replicate Greece’s 2004 Euro run have so far been a success. Today we learn if the underdogs can take another step or if Portugal’s boredom machine of doom will just keep ticking over.
