The Holiday Season Title Decider once again came to Anfield, as Liverpool hosted top of the table Arsenal on Saturday. Despite all efforts by both teams, the match was decided in the first half at 1-1 thanks to an early goal by the Gunners and an equalizer scored beautifully by Mohamed Salah before the break. It was everything that a football fan would love in a match - it was just missing the all important winning goal.
Standout performances really came from the defense, keeping that strong Arsenal attack at bay, with Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold really showing their skills in the midfield even if Endo tempted the fates by getting a yellow card. Joe Gomez also came on for the injured Kostas Tsimikas and though he took some time to settle, really took over the position to even try his hand at scoring a couple times. Enough to plant the seeds of hope that maybe this is his year.
Now let us know how you saw it.
