Shortly after the game against West Ham United, Liverpool FC were drawn against Fulham in the Carabao Cup Semi-Finals. Chelsea will face Championship side Middlesborough in the other semi-final tie.
The winningest nine-time cup-winning Reds will be participating in their 19th semi-final, which also happens to be a record in the competition. The first legs will be played the week of 8 January, and the second legs will begin on 22 January. For Liverpool, they will be hosting Fulham at Anfield first.
The final will take place on 25 February at Wembley Stadium.
This draw seems to pave the way for yet another Liverpool-Chelsea final clash, in which the footballing world will almost certainly be dazzled with another 0-0 draw. It’s worth pointing out that Middlesborough aren’t exactly flying high in the Championship at 13th place. However, with Chelsea’s up-and-down form, there are no guarantees for them as well.
