Liverpool 0, Manchester United 0: Man Of The Match

With a frustrating draw in the books, we want you to help us choose Liverpool’s man of the match.

Well that was extremely frustrating. Liverpool dominated the match but struggled to do anything truly dangerous on the attacking end as Manchester United packed themselves into their own box. Ryan Gravenberch was the most influential of the players going forward until he had to be withdrawn with an injury. Wataru Endo was extremely good in the holding role, seeming to vacuum up every loose ball coming through the center. He was also very efficient with the ball despite often passing while under pressure. Kostas Tsimikas continued his run of quietly good form, getting involved on the attacking end while also picking up loose ball after loose ball. Liverpool’s two central defenders didn’t have the most defending to do against a mostly toothless Manchester United side, but they both stepped in to win the ball in the few instances they were needed. Both Ibrahima Konaté and Virgil van Dijk had several of the best attacking chances all match as well.

Now let us know how you saw it. We’ve narrowed down the options to a few of the players we thought had the best performances for the Reds, now make your choice and vote for who you think should be the Man of the Match—or take to the comments to let us know that we got it wrong by not even including the real man of the match in the options.

And as always, a reminder that for anyone visiting on Apple News or Google AMP and looking to cast a vote who can’t see the poll, you can make it visible by navigating to the front page of The Liverpool Offside and loading the full version of the story from there.
