Apparently Luis Diaz would love to play for Barcelona, according to his father.

Luis Diaz’s father has been in the news lately because of his horrific kidnapping in Colombia. It has been an emotional journey for him and his family, including the Liverpool team, fans, and of course Luis himself. His father, named Luis Diaz Sr., spoke in an interview with Win Sports following his rescue about a wide array of subject, but one topic came up that is of interest to Liverpool fans and that is about Luis Diaz’s “dream club” to play for.

“[The] truth is that I know very little about Barcelona at the moment,” Diaz Sr. said. “It is true that Luis is a loyal Barcelona fan and it would be his dream to go there. So far I would like to thank Porto and Liverpool for the way they welcomed him and received him.

“Luis is a player who finds it easy to win over because of the way he is, because of his humility, his work, his dedication, he is a very disciplined player, thank God. There would be no problem if Luis came to Barcelona because it is a top team and one of the best in the world.”

Obviously, this is just a father speaking about his son. It isn’t a surprise that a Colombian grew up as a Barcelona fan. As of right now, there’s not even the slightest of transfer rumors suggesting that Barca are in for Diaz, and even if there were, it doesn’t seem like it’d make much sense for the player to go to that club.
