[inhale] Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Naby Keita’s injury is nothing serious and should not be a concern moving forward. [/exhale]
The Liverpool FC midfielder started the game at Carrow Road, before being substituted at halftime of the 3-0 win on Tuesday night.
In this post-game comments, Klopp elaborated more on the reason why the switch was made:
At half-time we had to change because Naby had kicked the grass, and it was a little uncomfortable, but we are not too concerned.”
With Harvey Elliot already out on a serious injury, and Thiago nursing a minor one, the injury situation could have definitely gotten friskier than I would have preferred it to be if Keita was to be ruled out for even a short while. Thankfully, the Guinean is fine, and we should see him continue to on a good start to the season, where he made consecutive starts for our two opening games.
