Sepp van den Berg to Return to Preston on Loan

According to a report from the Lancashire Post, Liverpool FC is nearing a deal to send defender Sepp van den Berg back on loan to Preston North End. The defender joined the club in the second half of the season, in the flurry of activity near the end of the window that also saw rumoured Liverpool FC player Ben Davies make his way to Anfield.

Since making the switch, Sepp has had a promising season, featuring quite regularly. Although most of us know him as a centre-back (and with Davies’ departure), the Big Ginger has instead slotted in at right-back for Preston. It’s really quite impressive, and Preston North End is keen to have him back for a full season. Hopefully, with a full season for him to put in the work, Van den Berg can kick on and take his game to the next level. We’re all rooting for you, Sepp.
