MANCHESTER UNITED VS. LIVERPOOL
| Sunday, May 2nd |
Premier League | Old Trafford
MATCH POSTPONED AND WILL NOT BE PLAYED TODAY DUE TO FAN PROTESTS
Liverpool faces off against arch rivals Manchester United in our 34th game of the season, with United currently second in the Premier League table.
On Liverpool’s still lengthy injury list are Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Divock Origi. Nat Phillips’ availability remains a question. United are without Anthony Martial and Phil Jones.
Four of the last seven games between the clubs have ended 0-0, so we definitely do not want a stalemate. United will not have much to play for since they are finishing second in the league with near certainty at this point.
It’s unlikely that Liverpool will finish in the top four this season, and I’m inclined to treat this game like a meaningless chore. But Zach’s war cry reminds us that this fixture is all about pride and blood and glory and stuff, so maybe just try to f***ing win, Liverpool.
