You probably saw a video floating around earlier this week of a Liverpool youth player scoring an incredible goal. The player receives a pass just ahead of the halfway line and takes on 6 defenders before curling a lovely shot into the far corner. That player is Mateusz Musialowski and he recently talked about that goal.

I just ran with the ball.” Mateusz said when asked about his goal against Newcastle United’s youth team.” When I see the space, I just go for it. I have seen a lot of Lionel Messi goals like that, so I try to be like him and I want to repeat it!”

“It’s great. I get a lot of the ball, so the staff and my teammates are helping me to play my game. So it’s really nice. I feel like I’m getting fitter and stronger now. I am working hard and want to improve.”

Liverpool signed highly-rated Poland attacking midfielder Musialowski in August 2020 from Polish side SMS Lodz. He currently plays for Poland’s U17 National Team.
