Kaide Gordon (17) has signed his first professional contract with the Reds after joining the club last year from Derby County — where he’d been an academy player since he was 10-years-old.
Over the past year he progressed quickly, moving from the U18s to the U23 squad, and debuting for the fist team in the League Cup triumph against Norwich City.
He is a current English youth international, and this career step is the latest in a line that suggests good things from the young player.
While he didn’t make a scoreline impact in his senior debut, he did manage to get into a number of dangerous positions, and his more senior colleagues trusted him on the ball. Both of these elements are the harder attributes to teach, and Gordon has cemented himself as very much one to watch for those interested in Liverpool’s future.
