The big game jitters are well and truly here. Liverpool FC’s fitness issues have been well-documented here, so it’s kinda comforting to know that we are not alone, and our opponents this Sunday, Manchester United, are also facing a few injury worries of their own.

Centre-back Victor Lindelof, has been battling an ongoing back problem meaning the Swede has played just two of their last seven matches. He was rested for the game against Burnley, with Eric Bailly (who he himself had picked up against Watford in the FA Cup) filling in.

Two other players have injury concerns after the game against Burnley. Striker Anthony Martial limped off in injury time of Tuesday’s victory with an apparent hamstring problem, although a new report says that the injury seems to be less bad than it was initially thought to be. Midfielder Nemanja Matic also went down in added time with a groin problem but was able to finish up the remaining minutes after encouragement from Solskjaer. He seemed to confirm his availability for the match on Sunday in his post-match remarks.
