Curtis Jones has signed a new deal that will keep him at Liverpool for at least the next five years. The young midfielder is being rewarded for his performance this year, including his incredible goal against Everton in the FA Cup. The 19-year-old has grown up in Liverpool, joining the club’s academy at the U9 level. He’s one of our own.

“Really pleased – and absolutely deserved.” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said about the new deal. “This is a little different to the announcement we made last year when Curtis signed his last contract. That was about both the player and club making a long-term commitment to each other.
“Today’s news is more about reward. When Curtis signed we made promises to him that if he continued to improve and grow as a player that we would make sure we recognised that and that is what we have now done. That is our way here.”
Reports also suggest that Harvey Elliott, Gini Wijnaldum, and Virgil van Dijk will all receive new deals in the coming weeks.
