LFC in the Time of Corona: Two Weeks To Go Social Media Update

Our weekly check-in on the players’ social media accounts.

We are less than two weeks until a very strange Merseyside derby is set to take place at Goodison Park. My heart is ready, my mind is ready, my body is ready. But to pass some time in the interminable number of days between then and now, let’s entertain ourselves with a peek of the players’ social media presence for the last week.

First off, Trent apparently flexed his FIFA muscles once again, this time battling...I think a member of One Direction? I don’t know, I’m very old. Not a football player. Anyway, it’s nice knowing that Trent is just out there living his best Gen Y life, playing video games while in quarantine.

Joe Gomez came out in support of the Black Lives Matter movement that has spread from the United States to the whole world.

James Milner put up a nice snap of him and the skipper and suggested a nice snip for his longer quarantine hair. I hate to disagree with Milly here, but I think Hendo’s hair looks good.

Roberto Firmino, along with several of the players, posted an ad for their charity signed shirt auction. The proceeds will go to the NHS.

Gini Wijnaldum gets a glimpse from the other side as he takes a seat in the Anfield stands.

Finally, Dejan Lovren made a beach video to publicly shame whoever dropped their litter in the sand. Hey, even if he doesn’t believe in vaccines, maybe he believes in climate change?
