Watching the broadcast of Jürgen Klopp and Kenny singing each others’ praises after Chelsea beat Manchester City was as good as any moment you’ll see. Klopp was willing away his tears for much of the conversation. It was glorious. When he finally cut off Souness and clumsily exited the scene, an emotional bomb, that’s when it really sunk in for me. Liverpool are Premier League champions.
Here’s a quote from your Champions League, Super Cup, CWC and Premier League winner Andy Robertson on more winning, winning with winners, and winning.
“That’s my plan [to stay as long as I can] whether I am good enough at 33/34 to continue to do that we will have to wait and see,” said Robertson.
“Look, I don’t want to go anywhere. This club is so special to me in a short space of time. My family love it, I love it.
“And you know I don’t want to go anywhere else. There’s no better team in the world just now than Liverpool. Why would any of us want to leave?
“The feeling we had last night when we were all together to win the Premier League is an amazing feeling and we don’t want that to just be a one off or only two times in our career.
“We want that all the time and that is what will drive us forward next season and the seasons after.”
The thought of Liverpool winning the league next season is both too much right now and everything I need. Up the clinchy Reds.
