LFC in the Time of Corona: Social Media Update

A peak at what the players are posting as they sit at home.

April falls gently to a close with little more to do than scroll through our phones and hope that Netflix drops Tiger King 2 some time soon. Our favorite players are similarly suffering, so let’s see what they’ve dropped on their ‘grams recently.

Gini Wijnaldum wants to know your top three video games, and posted some artfully-taken pictures of him playing. The answer, for me, is Tetris, Super Mario Brothers 3 and those are the only two video games I’ve ever played. Nailed it.

Alisson Becker trained outside and snapped a social distant selfie with his trainer.

Roberto Firmino and his partner play a couple’s game. The gist seems to be that someone off-camera reads a question: “Who is more romantic?” etc, and the person it applies to gets a face full of a mysterious soft, white substance that appears to be flour, maybe? This game would be different if they played it in The Wolf of Wall Street. I would say quarantine has finally driven them insane, but it’s Bobby, so.

Virgil van Dijk shows off a Nike billboard he’s in. And being fair, if you had his handsome face and that face was plastered on a seven-story billboard, you’d advertise it too.

Andy Robertson, in a move that I can only assume was provoked by James Milner cheating on him with Adam Lallana for the most recent episode of Face Off, posted a set of pictures with him and van Dijk.

James Milner flashes back to his cheeky ‘old man’ goal celebration and — would you look at that — throws in a shot at Virgil van Dijk for good measure. Interesting.

Am I inventing drama to entertain myself while stuck in my home? Surely not, that’s slander.

What have you been doing to keep busy at home?
