There is a global pandemic overrunning the world country by country. Football is the very last thing that anyone should be concerned about. Suspending the Premier League, along with nearly every other sports league, was the right thing to do. That is undeniable.
That doesn’t mean that it isn’t painful for Liverpool fans to see the Reds so close to clinching the title for the first time in 30 long years.
Liverpool FC super fan John Oliver understands the warring frustration and relief of seeing the lights go out on the Premier League.
On his HBO show Last Week Tonight, which Oliver taped on an empty sound stage to adhere to New York social distancing regulations, he took 30 seconds to lament Liverpool’s crappy luck.

Oliver’s rant perfectly encapsulates all of our feelings about the situation. Give it a listen, what else are you doing while stuck at home? Oliver’s pain is cathartic and will help to soothe your angry soul.
