Shrewsbury:

The Reds are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup after a 1-0 replay win over Shrewsbury Town in front of a capacity crowd at Anfield. In true 2020 Liverpool fashion, the Baby Reds by all accounts dominated play, failed to take their chances, saw a VAR call go their way as a Shrewsbury goal was chalked off, and ground out a win through a Ro-Shaun Williams own goal.

According to reports, the young Reds were good value for their win, with Neco Williams, Harvey Elliott, Pedro Chirivella and Curtis Jones shining particularly brightly, undoubtedly bringing an inebriated smile to the face of their manager, who was watching on his laptop from an undisclosed location.

Liverpool will now travel to Chelsea in the fifth round of the Cup on March fifth, and although the Premier League title should be all but wrapped up at that point, all signs point to Jürgen Klopp continuing to put faith in his young charges.
