Liverpool didn’t start off poorly so much as just a little off their best, a side still seemingly in a bit of a lull following their mid-season break and collectively firing at 80%. It didn’t help, either, that Anfield seemed strangely muted. When West Ham got the second of two somewhat fortunate goals, though, they woke up—the players and fans both. What came next, by the time it was all over, felt almost inevitable.
Now let us know how you saw it. Were Trent Alexander-Arnold’s two assists and generally solid wing play enough to push him to the top of the list, or was Mohamed Salah’s strong second half plus the goal that pulled the Reds back level enough to make him the top choice? And what of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s noteworthy impact off the bench or the hard running of Roberto Firmino and Andrew Robertson?
And as always, anyone visiting on Apple News or Google AMP who wishes to vote and can’t see the poll can access it by navigating to the front page of The Liverpool Offside and re-entering the story.
