Liverpool Offside Radio: A Long Weekend

Liverpool Football Club suffered a tough loss to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday. A rarity this season, given the run of results Jurgen Klopp and his charges have managed to roll off since their last defeat, coincidentally also in the Champions League.

Even though Diego Simeone’s side isn’t having a great run at the moment, most would have felt a bit leery headed into this tie. Liverpool have, simply, not faced a defense as rigid and well-coached as Atletico Madrid all season, and it was a phenomenal if frustrating test to take in.

With Liverpool not playing until Monday, though, we’ve got quite a lot of time to spend before we get a chance to rinse that bad, if unfamiliar, taste out of our mouths. But, never fear, we’ve got some songs that you can while away this long weekend, of sorts, with.

Thankfully, Liverpool’s opponent come Monday is West Ham, who are still struggling under the guidance of football genius David Moyes. The Reds faced the Hammers at the end of January when the Reds finally cashed in their match in hand with a 2-nil victory. Here’s hoping that this week’s match will yield the same results.
