Liverpool’s first trip to the Champions League finals in Kiev against Real Madrid did not feature the ending most Reds wanted. 12 months after that, though, Klopp and Company managed to turn things around, in Madrid, by bringing home that long-awaited Number 6.
One part of that set of events back in 2018, though, was pop star Dua Lipa who performed during the pre-game festivities. An artist on the rise then, much like Liverpool, she has since become a bonafide international star in the time since.
In fact, Dua Lipa’s success will bring her back to Liverpool, in May, when the club might be celebrating its own new success in the way of a Premier League title. The singer was interviewed by the official site and she spoke of her hope to be in town for that historic moment.
“I’ve already started rehearsing for the forthcoming world tour and we’ve really pulled out all the stops to put together the best show possible. I’m so happy Liverpool are doing well this year and I’m looking forward to a party in May in Liverpool!”
Dua Lipa has a concert scheduled in Liverpool for May 29th, so here’s hoping that we will have achieved something that will take celebrations in Liverpool to last the whole month. And, maybe, as the singer has indicated she has no football rooting interest, those celebrations might encourage her to become a fellow Red.
