The way Liverpool have continued to roll this season, it’d be hard to sort out who exactly deserves the biggest plaudits. I guess, when limiting it to the front line, it’s always been a bit this way. Still, adding players with the quality of Alisson and Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson and Joe Gomez and, well, might as well name them all, huh?

The Liverpool fandom seem to be similarly at odds with itself over who has stepped up most and it has shown itself in the way the fans have voted for the player of the month. To date, of the 6 players of the month awarded thus far, 5 different players have been voted by the fans. Which, really, is a sign that this magical season has been, in fact, a team effort.

To wit, the only player that’s won it multiple times is Mohamed Salah, who was today named the Standard Charter Player of the Month by the fans. It’s obviously an honor well earned, but has to have been helped by him finally breaking his duck and helping the Reds to victory over Manchester United.

Week to week, one should expect that this will change because a season of this quality can only be achieved by everyone putting in their shift. The fans, clearly, see that as well. On we roll in the hopes that our team continue to pull towards their goal together.
