There’s no getting away from it: tonight is a big one. These top of the table clashes—a true six pointer, with major title implications—don’t come around as often as you’d think. A win for either side would create a 3-point buffer at the top. A draw, and both Liverpool and Tottenham might be looking up at Leicester and/or Southampton by the end of the night. This is all to say that it’s tight at the top of the table this year, and with injuries and a lack of recovery time continuing to be major stories this campaign, that is only likely to continue.

Speaking of injuries, Liverpool’s bad luck continues unabated, Mourinho spin notwithstanding. If Joel Matip isn’t fit to play tonight, Jurgen Klopp will once again have to get creative and/or rely on players who probably shouldn’t be getting a sniff in this Liverpool side.

Still. It’s at Anfield. And lads, it’s Tottenham. Up the Reds.
