Mohamed Salah, in Egypt for international duty, today tested positive for COVID-19. The Egyptian FA has noted that no one else in the Egypt squad has tested positive for the virus.
Salah has not displayed any symptoms, but will enter Coronavirus health protocols and will be unavailable to feature for club and country. Egypt are to host Togo on Saturday before playing the reverse fixture on the following Tuesday; Liverpool next face Leicester City on November 21st.
While speculation surrounds Salah after he was filmed dancing maskless at his brother’s wedding, it is unclear where he picked up the virus.

The conversation surrounding the Egyptian’s positive test should perhaps act as a reminder to all to adhere to social distancing and mask guidelines as COVID-19 remains a threat in most areas.
