BRADFORD CITY VS LIVERPOOL
| Sunday, July 14th |
Pre-Season | Northern Commercials Stadium
3:00PM BST/10:00AM EST
Liverpool continue their preseason schedule with a trip to League Two side Bradford City FC. Liverpool will look to build upon 6-0 drubbing they handed to Tranmere Rovers on Thursday. Rhian Brewster will look to build on his bright start, while others like Ki-Jana Hoever and Yasser Larouci see if they can entice Jürgen Klopp to add their names to the roster heading to the US next week. As for the senior players, we just hope no one gets hurt. Dejan Lovren rejoined the team on Tuesday and will play a part. Outside of Lovren’s inclusion, expect a pretty similar squad to suit up for Herr Klopp.
“Maybe it will be really similar line-ups playing together because it looked good so, come on, why not?” the Liverpool manager said. “Get a bit of rhythm and stuff like that.”
Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Trent Alexander-Arnold have only just returned to training, and won’t feature until the team plays next week in America. Andy Robertson is still out from a bug or spider bite infection and may or may not be in the process of turning into the Scottish Spider Man. Sepp van den Berg is still waiting for international clearance before he can step on the pitch in a Liverpool shirt.
Bradford City comes into the match with a pair of 2-0 wins over non-league sides Guiseley AFC and Brighouse Town FC. Bradford City were relegated from League One last season, finishing last in the table.
