Depending on your perspective, Manchester City winning the FA Cup final is good news for Liverpool fans. Because City won both the Premier League title and the FA Cup, that means Liverpool will face off against City for the cherished Community Shield before the start of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Manchester City cruised to a 6-0 victory over Watford in the FA Cup final on Saturday, with goals from David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus. Oh, and some guy named Raheem Sterling scored a hat trick. Real cool stuff. Manchester City are the first men’s team in English footballing history to accomplish the feat of a domestic treble by winning the League Cup, Premier League title, and the FA Cup in the same season.

Liverpool have won the Community Shield 15 times previously, sharing it five of those times. The Reds most recently won it in 2006 when they defeated Chelsea 2-1 with goals from John Riise and Peter Crouch.
