Conor Coady no doubt has love for his former club. At every opportunity this season the Wolverhampton defender sings the praises of the Reds. But, come Sunday, he won’t be rooting for his former club to win the Premier League title.

“Every week I look at Liverpool and hope they win. What they’ve done this year has been absolutely incredible, the title race has been amazing,” he told the Express and Star.

“My mates are all season-ticket holders there and keep saying a few things about it. I supported them growing up but I’m playing for Wolves now, and no matter who we are playing against, we go there to win and that’s the mentality we’ll all have.”

Come on Conor, we know you want to score the winning own goal in stoppage time to help Liverpool win the title. We know you can’t say that quiet part out loud, so just give the camera a wink when the ball goes over the line, yeah?
