To say that Loris Karius’ time with Turkish giants Besiktas has been eventful would be a massive understatement. Karius has been unable to escape the spotlight during his time in Turkey. Recently, he’s been in a dispute with his manager and club over not being paid wages for several months. Naturally, Karius and Besiktas would like to move on from a bad situation but any hopes of moving back to Liverpool has allegedly been squashed by the big boss man Jurgen Klopp according to reports in the Mirror.
Karius’ two-year loan deal with the Turkish side has a no termination clause and the Liverpool manager is not interested in bringing back the German goalkeeper. So much for a quiet departure, eh? We reported earlier this week that perhaps a move back to Germany was in the cards for Loris, but nothing has materialized as of late. As we said then, a move back to Germany is probably the best for Karius, but any move will have to be orchestrated without Liverpool pulling the strings.
Hey, if the whole football thing doesn’t work out, maybe Loris can find his true calling as an Instagram influencer.
