The math is very simple for Liverpool to advance tonight: win, or a scored draw does the trick. Of course, Bayern Munich will ensure that job is easier said than done. Despite Liverpool’s less-than-stellar European away record this campaign, there is reason to hope. The (Merseyside) Reds got in behind the Bayern defense several times, and were unlucky not to score a couple of goals en route to victory. The inclusion of Virgil van Dijk (and Fabinho resuming his holding role in the middle of the park) also bodes well for Liverpool tonight. Regardless, it should be a real showcase of two of Europe’s top teams. May the best Reds win!
