Much like Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk, Liverpool’s record goalkeeping phenom, Alisson Becker has hit the ground running in his first season at the club, having instantly made himself indispensable in the Reds’ pursuit of their maiden Premier League title.

A division-topping 14 clean sheets along with a number of headline-snatching saves to keep the Liverpool campaign afloat have established the no. 13 as one of the best ‘keepers in all the land(s).

On top of that, he’s even known his native Brazil as O Gato, which roughly translates to “Really, really handsome” (piercing blue eyes! beard!), so he’s got that going for him as well.

And now, in case his unassailable position as The Man Your Man Could Smell Like© was in any doubt, a recent interview with a local Liverpool musician recently revealed that Alisson is prone to serenading his loved ones by strumming the guitar to Brazilian folk music.

The rest of us should just give up at this point.

The club released a video of the goalkeeper jamming with Jamie Webster, a local lad notable for recording one of the more famous renditions of the Liverpool rallying song, Allez Allez Allez. On the music front, the two talked about Alisson having to sing in front of the squad as part of his hazing upon joining the club, the way he would soothe his pregnant wife by playing guitar to her, with the handy goalkeeper even busting out a few Brazilian tunes on camera.

“This team is different,” the 26-year-old said when asked about his side’s chances of outlasting the formidable Manchester City for the Premier League title. “I think we can do something special here but we need to put our feet on the ground and keep working, working, working.”
